Joseph Cooper, known as “Coop,” is a serial entrepreneur and technical leader with a remarkable journey that began at the age of nine. Born and raised in California’s Silicon Valley, Coop’s passion for technology ignited early, nurtured by his father’s generosity in providing him with computers and spare parts from his mechanical design work, where Coop began building computers and modding games. His entrepreneurial spirit was evident early on, as he began generating $300k a year by the age of 17.
Over the years, Coop’s ventures evolved from small-scale projects to founding five globally recognized startups, with two notable exits to PokerStars and Jack Dorsey’s Cash App. Having sold to PokerStars, Coop spearheaded the second largest real-money online casino in India, which now boasts transactions totaling a staggering $3.5 billion annually.
Today, Coop spends his time between Los Angeles and Hong Kong as the founder and CEO of Earn Alliance. At Earn Alliance, headquartered in Hong Kong, Coop pioneers the integration of blockchain and web3 principles into gaming. His goal: to foster a community where gamers and developers shape the future of gaming.
Reflecting on his journey, Coop shares, “I am still an engineer and product lover at heart, but today I am focused on bringing great folks together. Creating a community brought me to Earn Alliance.”
Earn Alliance hit a milestone when over 600,000 Axie Infinity assets joined their platform, Earn Management, underscoring the demand for tools to support web3 gaming. Despite hurdles in the bear market, they secured $4.75 million in funding in 2022. As one of the largest active web3 communities, Earn Alliance has launched more game NFTs than most major NFT launchpads combined. The platform had over 75 game NFT launches in 2023 that were utilized not only for raising funds, but also for developers to acquire new users and engage their existing ones.
Their latest move? A gamified reward ecosystem, enticing over 400,000 engaged gamers to explore and support blockchain games. Rather than spending $100+ Billion on advertising and only converting 35% into casual players, Earn Alliance is offering a far less expensive model to draw in highly-engaged gamers that keep coming back daily to play because of the platform’s reward-based ecosystem.
